Job Description Registered Respiratory Therapist ( Job Number: xxxx0-xxxx ) Description Ocala Health is a twohospital system: Ocala Regional Medical Center is a 270-bed facility and WestMarion Community Hospital is a 90-bed facility located in the heart of Ocala. Ocala Regional MedicalCenter is a level II trauma center and full-service hospital that offers a hostof specialized medical services for the adult population. Position Summary: Under generalsupervision the RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) will perform allrespiratory care related duties. Sets up and administerall routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages. Responsible for theapplication and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous shortand long-term mechanical ventilation. Respiratory Therapistsare expected to be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader. Maintain all departmentand hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computerfor the therapy as given. Requirements: Completion of a two yearAMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or equivalent) Current Florida statelicense Current BLS (Basic LifeSupport)
