Laboratory Shift Supervisory Ocala - Orlando, Florida S ummary: The Lab Supervisor is responsible for managing the operation of a quality Laboratory department. This includes being responsible for operations, performance results, associate development and customer satisfaction in the Lab. Works directly with the Lab Director to set goals for the Laboratory, reviews results and improves operations Focuses team on business goals including sales, item count, customer count and utilizing customer service programs Participates in programs to provide community lab services, such as health screenings, immunizations, diabetes management and Medication Therapy Management Oversees inventory management, quality control and gross profitability Directs lab team engaged in pathology and cytology Complies with all record keeping requirements Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas Ensures confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records as required Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within Company guidelines and standards. Oversees the implementation of and participates in community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve as a good member of the community. Experience: 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory Management experience required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory field Certifications / Licensure: Medical Tech License (MT) or equivalent as assigned by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) LIS training and/or experience Lab Supervisor License required Special Skills: Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and procedures Ability to work under pressure of time and work volume without sacrificing accuracy Ability to recognize problems and take appropriate action Good verbal and written communication skills Good manual dexterity
