Job Description
Develop takeoffs and estimates from architectural drawings and generate quotations for Sales Dept. Requires team member to review project plans & specifications along with architectural drawings, CAD files and other similar information; Develop detailed listings of materials needed, etc., and calculate the draft cost for estimate quoted by others. Review customer changes in quotations and develop pricing for change orders as directed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with plans and estimating experience in acoustical walls and ceilings and/or architectural millwork/woodwork for walls and ceilings products
Desired Skills and Experience
• Previous relevant work experience and use of takeoff and estimating software.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team-oriented; builds cross-organizational consensus and cooperation
• Strong time management skills and comfortable with a deadline driven schedule
• Read and understand architectural plans and specs
• Strong computer skills and experience with takeoff software programs
• Must have the ability to work under deadlines
• Have the ability to suggest value engineering solutions.
• Background in cad engineering a plus
• Experienced in online construction lead programs a plus
3+ years performing takeoffs and bid details for acoustical and/or wood ceilings and wall products. Should be able to price out in detail acoustical work scopes and division 9 finishes. Should be proficient with utilizing estimating software, on screen take off programs. Additional details provided to qualified applicants.
